The Different Cannabinoids

Here we will go over all the different cannabinoids so you have all the information you may need to choose which ones may be a best fit for you. Remember, everyone's body is different, and the effects one person may have does not always mean you will have the same effects. Start with a low dose and see how you feel. We will try to keep this short and sweet.

Many products have a blend of cannabinoids to offer a more all around high or even to enhance the euphoric, relaxing, focused, or joyful high.

Marijuana and Delta-9 THC

Marijuana or "weed" which comes from the marijuana plant, has high levels of delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which gives the high sensation. With it being illegal still in many states and the psychoactive properties, many people aren't able to use it. There is also CBD in marijuana which gives it its medicinal properties, but THC also provides a stronger relief. Although it is illegal, under the Farms Bill of 2018 no hemp product can contain more than 0.3% Delta 9 THC

CBD (Cannabidiol)

Unlike marijuana, CBD does not contain THC although it can be extracted from both the marijuana and hemp plant. It comes in two forms "broad spectrum" and "full spectrum". Full spectrum having trace amounts of thc and has been known to show up on a drug test. CBD provides the best solution for those who want the benefits of cannabis without any psychoactive effects or needs to take drug tests.

Delta-8 THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol)

Delta-8 THC is found in small amounts in cannabis plants. It is similar to delta-9 but is a milder version and has slightly different effects providing a calmer and more relaxing high, making this a great medicinal product. It is legal in all states

THCp (Tetrahydrocannabiphoral)

THCp is a cannabinoid found in small amounts in cannabis plants. It is 33 times stronger than regular THC, is extremely potent and lasts a bit longer than other THC highs. Edible THCp can last up to 48 hours. THCp tolerance also does not necessarily equate to  THC tolerance so start with small doses on this one.

CBN (Cannabinol)

CBN is a cannabinoid found in cannabis plants and is known for its relaxing properties, making it perfect for pain relief, muscle pain, and sleep. Unlike CBD, CBN is mildly psychoactive which helps with these medicinal properties but can cause a mild psychoactive reaction in high doses.

Delta-10 THC

Delta 10 while slightly less potent than Delta 8, offers a more euphoric, body focused high rather than the mind high Delta 8 offers. Delta 10 is another great cannabinoid for a full body relaxation and sleep.

11-Hydroxy THC

Just like THCp we recommend starting with small doses here. 11 hydroxy THC is very potent but in its own way. If you have had an edible you know how the feelings are a bit stronger than smoking or vaping. It is because in digestion your body converts the THC into 11 hydroxy THC. Essentially this is an edible high in vape form.

THCjd (Tetrahydrocannabioctyl)

THCjd is a potent and rare cannabinoid 19 times stronger than regular THC. Naturally found in cannabis plants THCjd produces a euphoric high similar to Delta 8 but is 25 times stronger. It is relaxing but also uplifting.

THCh (Tetrahydrocannabihexol)

Another rare cannabinoid, THCh is roughly 10 times stronger than regular THC. It provides a relaxing, euphoric, joyful high. Making it a great medicinal cannabinoid also offering pain relief.

HHC (Hexahydrocannabinol)

As the name suggests HHC is not a THC but is made by hydrogenating THC. Out of all the cannabinoids here, HHC provides the most Delta 9 THC feeling. We recommend vaping this one because not many people feel much from HHC edibles. Be careful though, HHC takes much longer to kick in and will hit you out of nowhere. This will provide a relaxing and euphoric experience.

THCv (Tetrahydrocannabivarin)

THCv is a minor cannabinoid found in cannabis plants that has some pretty great effects including a more energetic and clearer headed high and may even help with appetite suppression. Which is opposite to the typical munchies feeling of THC. Great daytime smoke.

CBG (Cannabigerol)

CBG, what we would call the king of medicinal cannabinoids, is found in most cannabis plants. It possesses anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and antioxidant properties. Although there aren't many studies done yet, it has been used to treat conditions like anxiety, depression, IBD, Huntington's disease, and glaucoma. For quick effects (under 30 seconds) we recommend a CBG oil.

THCa (Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid)

THCa is the raw form of THC. It is not intoxicating until it is heated up which turns it into THC. It is very potent!

Live Resin

Made by using a solvent-based extraction technique to flash freeze cannabis. This process separates the cannabinoids and terpenes from unnecessary stuff. After this process it is a golden translucent goop with clear crystals. Live resin can have a THC content to around 90%!

Live Rosin

Made using heat and pressure on dried and cured cannabis. No solvents needed for this super potent and clean product. This process produces a blackish, stick, semi-solid goop after the pressure process. Then intense heat and pressure is added leaving a pure goop of cannabinoids and terpenes. Live rosin can have a cannabinoid content of 85%.

Joints and Blunts

The differences between joints and blunts are numerous, but we will break it down to the basics. Joints are typically made with natural materials in a very thin paper just to hold the flower. Joints are much cleaner and allow you to taste the flower much better. The drawback is that they do burn a bit faster, but you can get them in all different sizes.

Blunts are cigar wraps or tobacco leaf that you roll your flower in. These contain a lot of tobacco and nicotine. The benefit here is a longer lasting smoke sesh and typically can be rolled thicker, but other than that as it is tobacco there are your typical tobacco drawbacks.

Vapes

Vapes consist of a battery and a cartridge also known as carts. The carts are filled with a THC distillate and or resin or rosin.  These are highly potent and cleaner as compared to their flower counterparts. It is not only an alternative to rolling and smoking flower but also much more convenient and produce less smoke and smell.

Bongs and Dab Rigs

Bongs and dab rigs are quite similar but differ in one thing we will get to in a second. Bongs, like you see in the picture here, are typically glass meaning it is a very clean way to smoke. They consist of a bong, a stem, and a bowl. you put the flower in the bowl and typically put water in the bong and cover the airflow part of your stem by about an inch to cool down the smoke. Light the flower and pull. Once you got enough smoke in the bong you take the bowl off the stem and take a deep breath

Dab rigs work basically exactly the same. Only difference is you are heating up concentrates instead of flower for an even cleaner and much more potent hit.

Pipes

Pipes are typically made from glass and consist of a bowl and mouthpiece. They work similarly to bongs but you do not add water and they can be very small. They have a air hole on the side that you cover when taking a puff and let go when not puffing to let the air flow better.  Pipes are a clean way to smoke flower and gives a pure flower taste and is also reusable unlike joint paper and blunt wraps.
